Prof. Manoj Kumar Tiwari (FNAE, FASc, FNASc, and FIISE) has been the Founding Director of IIM Mumbai since August 2023 where he also served as Director of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai, India from 2019-2023. Under his leadership, the institute’s rank has been improved to 6 from 29 in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking for Management. He was a Professor with a Higher Academic Grade (since 2016), Head of Department (2013-2016), BOG Member (2016-2018), Dean Planning & Coordination (2017-2019) at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and currently on-lien for five years. Also, Prof. Tiwari is the Vice Chancellor of Tata Institute of Social Sciences Mumbai (additional charge) since September 2023. He is the Chairman of the West Zone Committee for ViksitBharat@2047 vision. Prof. Tiwari is the Chief Editor of the Multi-Policy evaluation book on “Towards Naya Bharat” published by National Book Trust India. He has also recently contributed as convenor of the “Report on Future Talent Requirements in Logistics – A Vision 2047 document” under the aegis of Ministry of Education.
