CAD/CAM Lab
CAD/CAM lab mainly involves learning to sketch machine parts, showing the relative positions of the different components and prepare assembly drawings. It includes the study of conventions and rules to be followed by the engineer for making accurate drawings that are easily understood or visualized by others in the Machine shop. It mainly emphasize in understanding and reading of different aspects of industrial Drawing. The lab component also includes the integration of CAD and CAM.
1.Exposure to a Modelling software/tool
2. Practice on various modules like Sketch, Part and Assembly modules.
3. Drawings of Screw fasteners and keys.
4. Details drawing of simple Machine parts like knuckle joint, bearings, couplings etc.
5. Assembly and detail drawing of some huge machine parts like Tailstock, Screw jack etc.
6. CNC coding simulation for machining/milling.
